The Ferguson Slide Restoration Project was in part to remove 1,000,000 cubic yards of landslide material covering the State Route 140 that leads to Yosemite National Park. The rockfall mitigation portion was performed by Access Limited Construction and consisted of the installation of rock anchors and cable net drapery. Our crew secured rock anchors and wired cable that secured 353,222 ft. of cable net drapery. A helicopter carried the mesh up to 850 feet above the road below, and held the mesh in place while the ALC crew scaled the rockfall site and secured the mesh.
